why we do what we do

Look, we get it.

It's easy to feel like the simple joys of play and curiosity are things of the past. As adults, many of us struggle to reconnect with the creativity we once had as kids. This detachment stems from misconceptions surrounding creativity and artistry.

A lot of people think that creativity is only for a special few, not realizing that the act of creative expression is something we all can enjoy. Unfortunately, baseline human activities like singing, dancing, drawing, and painting have become skills instead of being seen as a universal human capacity. Now, it feels like the point of making art is to get good enough to monetize your creativity, not to just create like humans naturally do, such as the way birds sing and bees make hives.

Our society tends to focus on what's practical and measurable, often forgetting how important art is for our personal and communal well-being. Limited avenues for personal and collective expression heighten this disconnect, stifling opportunities for individuals to tap into their natural creative interests.

The Creative Freedom Project was founded on the belief that everyone has a creative spark and tapping into it can be a transformative way to bring joy and connection back into our lives. We’re here to break down those barriers and make space for creativity in our everyday routines.

**Monetizing art practices and creative pursuits are great ways to make a living doing what you love. We just want to help people discover and tap into their power through art. Life is all about balance. :)
